Monday was a busy day! We headed straight out to Pearl Harbor in the morning. That was such a somber place! Reading some of the stories around the memorial showed me where they pulled story lines from the movie Pearl Harbor. We went through a WWII submarine too! I'd been in one at Fort Sumpter, South Carolina, but this was different. And really moving to experience where our soldiers lived and committed to giving their lives for our freedom.
After Pearl Harbor, we headed out to the Dole Plantation. Pineapples galore! That was a fun little place, and honestly, I had NO CLUE how the heck pineapples were even grown! We had fresh pineapple ice cream too.. super good!
Our last stop of the day was North Shore. We found Waimea Bay, and fell in love! It was such an incredibly gorgeous place!
