~It's a.....~

GIRL!!!

We're having a baby girl! We had an appointment bright and early this morning at Diagnostic Imaging NW, and we got the news that we are having a sweet little Emerson Raye! We go back in a couple weeks to get more pictures taken. My uterus is tilted which makes it hard to get correct measurements of my cervix, so we go back to see if they can measure my cervix then. Her little heart looks perfectly healthy, which is great to hear, and she was all wiggly inside, moving her little rear and hands around. SO cute! Our due date is still locked in at August 2nd, and all of her measurements were to the day where she is in gestation. I'm so excited to get to prepare for this baby girl and hold her when she gets here!

~Week 17~

We had our next appointment this morning. They got us right back, and we were able to hear the baby's heart beat this time! It was beating at about 159 bpm, and sounded nice and strong. We've scheduled our appointment to find out what we're having on February 28th! Its a Monday and we both have Mondays off, so we'll get to spend the rest of the day shopping! I finally have a baby bump, and we took our first "pregnancy" picture last night.

~Week 15~

It has been such a CRAZY few months! We are 1/2 way through our 15th week... which means we are in our fourth month. I cannot believe it! Though we look at how many days we have left practically daily, the time does seem to be going by faster than I had originally anticipated. I have the slightest belly now, which is a definite FIRST for me, and I have NO waist! Most moms want to take pictures of their bellies, and watch that progression, but I feel like most of my changes have been to my waistline. Josh and I will for sure be taking pictures shortly to post.

Even in the midst of pregnancy exhaustion, I have a pretty busy schedule. Working in ministry is a FULL time job for sure! Besides our Tuesday-Friday work days, I have weekend services on Saturday and Sunday, along with a bible study lead by me, a devotions group that meets on Friday mornings at 6am, and Team camp, which is a church wide activity on Thursday evenings. Really doesn't leave me with a ton of free time. However, I work for some pretty incredible people, and have been able to step back whenever needed.

We find out in about 3 weeks what we're having! I CANNOT wait. Josh just wants a healthy baby, but I know secretly he is aching for a boy! I really want a girl, but like him, really just want a healthy happy baby. The Chinese birthing chart says we're having a boy. I went to the store and bought one of those at home gender prediction tests, and it was 100% boy. The night before I took the test, I called Amber to tell her I was planning on doing it, and that night she and I both dreamt that I had a boy. So, according to these signs... it's a boy. So now we wait and find out who was right. The charts, dreams and kits? Or my family. My entire family is SURE we're having a girl. So, I'm curious to see who's right!

So I've totally dropped the ball on this whole "Project 365".... however... with our recent circumstances I've had a pretty decent excuse in my book.....

Today was the day of our Christmas Party for my work, Foursquare Church. We had a blast! We bummed around all day, relaxing, knowing that we would be up until at least midnight. What geeks are we??? We went and got Josh's hair cut, and got a pair of tights for me, and that was it for our errands for the day. Our Christmas Party was at The Golf Club at Newcastle, and it was GORGEOUS!! I seriously work with some of the greatest people on earth, so we knew going into it we'd have a great time! After an incredible 5 course meal, Roger took a few minutes to speak into the lives of all of the employees. Definitely something to make us cry, he's so good with words! And then... the dancing began. The DJ was hysterical, and we all got out there and danced and danced and danced! It was such a fun night, and I was DEFINITELY ready for bed when we got home! For our picture of the day... Here it is! I set the timer on my camera and set it on a shoe box on the end table! Haha!

~12/5/2010~

After work today Josh went to play basketball with the guys, and I headed down to my mom's house to relax and hang out a bit. We've had the most stressful couple days, and him getting some frustrated energy out in basketball was exactly what he needed, and I needed a good cup of stress release tea and talk with my mama. Afterwards, Amber and Rylee came over to hang out, so we went and got Mikey to hang out with Rylee. The kids had a blast! I should've gotten a picture! It was so cute watching them run through the house all sweaty from playing so hard! We always have a great time visiting with Amber too! After Ray took Mikey home, Rylee took to playing the piano and singing to us, including the songs, Apple Bottom Jeans, and California Gurls. We laughed so hard! Such a great way to end the day!
